The Dexcom G6 receiver displays glucose readings and uses the Dexcom G6 CGM system. The receiver comes with a 12-month warranty from the date of order. The receiver is an optional purchase. An alternative is a compatible smart device.

The   Dexcom G6 transmitter battery lasts up to 3 months. Approximately three weeks before the end of its life expectancy, you will receive a warning via the G6 app or receiver that counts down the remaining ten days.

Patients can use both smartphones and receivers to provide CGM data. The smartphone system sends the data to  Dexcom servers, which can be used for reporting. To receive this data, your smartphone must be connected to the Internet, and the Dexcom Mobile CGM application must run on your smartphone.

 

Is the Dexcom G6 receiver waterproof?

The   Dexcom G6 CGM System Transmitter is waterproof. The G6 sensor unit is waterproof when the transmitter is installed correctly. The receiver is not waterproof and waterproof, so moisture inside it may damage it.

 

How do I download data from my Dexcom receiver

Dexcom Clarity can export data to a CSV file that users can view in Excel. Visit clear.dexcom.com, login, and click the Export icon on the report page. Then select a date range for exporting all reports.

  • Touch the I agree to transfer my data to my clinic field.
  • Click Yes, I share my data.

 

Does Dexcom work without Bluetooth?

Does Dexcom come with a reader? 

No, the Dexcom G6 receiver is an optional display device and is not included in the subscription price. You can always order a Dexcom G6 receiver if you need additional display units.

Dexcom Share is a feature of the G6 app that allows remote monitoring. One person (exchange participant) can share his CGM data with another person (subscriber). To set up sharing, tap the share icon in the app and follow the on-screen instructions. *Requires standalone Follow app and internet connection.

 

Can I follow the Dexcom receiver? 

The  Dexcom Share feature built into the  Dexcom G6 app allows you to remotely view blood sugar levels, trends, and data between diabetics and their friends, family, and caregivers on compatible smart devices. The Dexcom Follow app allows up to 10 subscribers to monitor the glucose levels of CGM users.
